N O T E :  While some of the above items are not life threatening (though some are!) they can cause considerable discomfort and affect the ability of a pet to withstand the cold and wintry weather with any success.  If you know your pet has ingested any of these items, please, observe them carefully and limit their outdoor time to bathroom trips until you are certain they are going to be OK.  Usually a day or so is enough time to decide, but continue to watch your pet after that even if they do not seem affected.
