Surrender an Animal
When the decision to surrender an animal has been made, please note the following:
- Please call during business hours to make arrangements to bring in an animal.
- If available, please bring any veterinary/adoption records that you may have on the animal including spay/neuter certificate, rabies vaccination certificate, or veterinary visit receipts with other vaccinations/procedures that may have been performed.
- Any person caught "dumping" or abandoning an animal will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
- Due to rising costs, a donation is requested for all surrendered animals. This should be discussed with shelter staff. A donation is requested but an animal is not turned away for want of a donation.
